Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using metermentor.com and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

MeterMentor provides an informational electricity-plan analysis tool for Texas consumers. We are not a Retail Electric Provider (REP), broker, or utility. Recommendations are estimates based on user-provided inputs and available plan data.

3. Independence

MeterMentor is independent and does not accept provider commissions for plan recommendations. Recommendations are generated from analysis logic, not affiliate incentives.

4. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate inputs where possible, including rate, contract details, and usage data.
  • Upload only data you are authorized to use.
  • Use the Service lawfully and for personal or business analysis purposes.
  • Do not attempt to abuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.

5. No Professional or Utility Guarantee

The Service is informational and does not constitute legal, financial, tax, or utility procurement advice. Plan pricing and terms can change, and actual bill outcomes may differ due to taxes, fees, usage variance, and provider changes.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, METERMENTOR LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Changes to Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
